The Challenge

Cairn Candle Company wanted their packaging to reflect the artisan nature of their products and also connect with Cairn's ambition to add a little Scottish cosiness into the homes on their customers. Their key objective was to ensure there was no plastic involved in their packaging and that it had to be not only sustainable, but recyclable. With the planet in mind, the wax used in Cairn Candles is ethically sourced and ingredients free from animal testing, and they plant a tree for every glass candle - much like Tinware

The Solution

Fergus, owner of Cairn Candle Co. knew that for his travel tins, metal was his preferred choice of packaging. He felt that aesthetically, the tins had a very broad appeal and carried with them a sense of craft and quality.

He also had to factor in the price too, especially the infancy of the business, having only set up shop in November! He felt price point as well as not having to order thousands was a big factor in choosing tin for his packaging.

What Fergus Say:

"We looked at a few different tin providers but really it was the design of the products and service of Tinware Direct that led us to us using them as a supplier. We love that Tinware Direct very obviously have a real passion for and knowledge of great packaging. It's quite simply really. 100% recommend Tinware Direct. You won't be disappointing. They're brill.”
