Movember, One Tree Planted & Christmas In A Box
Tis the season of goodwill at Tinware Direct. We’re doubling our donations to Movember, One Tree Planted and Christmas In A Box. All three organisations play a vital role both domestically and internationally, improving the lives those in need and helping to improve the welfare of our planet.
Movember
The Movember Foundation is aimed at saving and improving men’s lives through projects focused on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
We’ve been supporting Movember for the past two years. Last year we raised over £400 thanks to matched donations by Tinware Direct and we we’re hoping to do the same or more again this year.
Last month, we raised a total of £701. We far exceeded last month’s total which we’re all extremely proud of. A special mention to Movember partners L’Oreal, who donated another £30 when the amount was matched on Black Friday. One Tree Planted
By planting trees across the globe, not only does this help offset our carbon emissions, it also offers great environmental and social benefits, providing biodiversity, jobs and food to communities, promoting wellness, regulates the climate and maintains the Earth's natural water cycles.
This month, we’ve doubled our donation to plant hundreds of trees across the world. After the devastation caused by the wildfires in our most vital ecosystem, we’ve highlighted the Amazon rainforest as a key area to plant our trees.
Our contribution thus far equates to the removal of 41 tonnes of Co2 each year and three acres of trees planted. Our next plants will take place in Ghana and the Amazon, two ecosystems that are in dire need of help.
So far, we have supported reforestation projects across North America, Latin America and Africa. If you want to join us in donating to this great cause, please follow the link - https://onetreeplanted.org/products/plant-trees-now
Christmas In A Box
Every year, our director Jo kindly donates boxes of food for the homeless to our local charity, Christmas In A Box. This amazing charity helps local people in crisis with hampers full of food and basic essentials.
Last Christmas, over 700 boxes were distributed. This year to date, over 850 boxes have been delivered to over 1,900 people in Bedford.
Last year, we donated 10 boxes, this year were donating 15. We feel its important to increase our numbers due to the increasing number of clients the All Nations Church receive on a regular basis. If you would like to donate or help, there are a number of ways you can do so. To donate, please follow the link - http://www.allnationsbedford.org/christmasinabox
