Also known as soda-lime-silica glass, soda lime glass is the most common type of glass and makes up 90% of all glass manufactured across the world. There's a good chance you've used it already whether the drink glasses in your kitchen or the windows in your home. It's high level of versatility and workability make it the default choice for countless items including bottles, jars tableware and more.
But soda lime glass isn't just functional, it can be used to create beautiful products and that's why we chose it for our glass jars and bottles.Here's the composition:
-70% silica (silicon dioxide) - This provides the glass with it's robust strength.
-15% soda (sodium oxide) - This lowers the melting point for the glass, making it easier and more energy-efficient to shape during the manufacturing process.
-9% lime (calcium oxide) - Lime helps stabilize the glass, preventing it from reacting to other materials overtime.
-6% trace elements - This includes small traces of aluminium, oxide, magnesium oxide, and others.
Soda lime glass provides excellent levels of clarity, letting light and colour shine through. The glass also doesn't react with food or drink and is chemically inert. It won't leach, corrode, or change the taste, even after repeated use.
The glass packaging products are protected using honeycomb padding and triple-wall cartons, providing additional protection during transit. Despite the additional layers of protection, or shipping packaging remain plastic-free

Soda lime glass jars can be recycled endlessly and an infinite amount of times without every losing their quality. As such, less materials are used during production and less waste is created. Every jar or bottle can become something new, even after repeated usage.
Our glass jars have successfully passed ASTM C149 (Standard Test Method for Thermal Shock Resistance of Glass Containers), a recognised test that evaluates the resistance of commercial glass containers to sudden temperature changes. This testing is commonly used to assess the suitability of glass containers for candle applications.
During the test, 48 samples were immersed in water at 63°C for five minutes and then transferred to water at 21°C for 30 seconds. This represents a temperature differential of 42°C. None of the samples were damaged during the test.
ASTM C149 provides a method for evaluating the relative resistance of commercial glass containers to sudden changes in temperature. The result provides supporting evidence of the thermal-shock resistance of the tested glass containers under the stated laboratory conditions.
